# John Deere StarFire 7000/7500

> Integrate John Deere StarFire receivers with TraceNav corrections

StarFire 7000 and 7500 receivers can consume TraceNav RTCM corrections when equipped with the appropriate hardware and activations.

## Requirements

* StarFire 7000 or StarFire 7500 receiver with **RTK Ready** and **Mobile RTK (M-RTK)** activations enabled.
* External modem for NTRIP connectivity:
  * John Deere serial modem (mounted directly to the receiver), **or**
  * Third-party modem capable of supplying RTCM via RS-232 into the receiver’s serial port.
* TraceNav device credentials.
* Cabling and power for the receiver/modem combination.

<Warning>
  The built-in Mobile RTK (MTG) modem may block third-party NTRIP services depending on dealer configuration. Validate connectivity or plan for an external modem if access is restricted.
</Warning>

## Configure TraceNav corrections

1. Ensure the StarFire receiver is updated to the latest firmware and activations are applied.
2. Connect the external modem to a reliable internet source (cellular SIM or Wi-Fi bridge).
3. In the StarFire UI (display or Ops Center):
   * Navigate to **RTK / Network RTK** settings.
   * Select **Custom NTRIP** or **3rd Party RTK** mode.
4. Enter the TraceNav caster details:
   * **Server**: `ntrip.tracenav.net`
   * **Port**: `2101`
   * **Username / Password**: TraceNav device credentials

* **Mountpoint**: `tracenav`

5. Set the output to **RTCM 3.x** and confirm the serial port baud rate matches the modem (typically 9600 or 38400 bps for RS-232).
6. Save and connect. Once authorized, the receiver should display **RTK / RTK Fixed** status.
